Position: Senior Financial Analyst (FP&A)

Location: Raleigh, NC (Hybrid)

Experience:

  • 6 to 8 years of Corporate Finance or Strategic Finance experience.
  • 1 to 2 years in consulting, banking, or equity research preferred.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or Engineering; MBA or CFA preferred.

Array Corporation is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst (FP&A) to join a growing and dynamic team!

Job Description:

Budgeting & Forecasting:

  • Lead the annual budgeting process and quarterly forecasts, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Engineering, Operations, Marketing) to gather inputs, assess risks, and develop comprehensive financial forecasts.
  • Track financial performance against the budget, providing variance analysis and actionable insights to senior management.

Financial Reporting & Insights:

  • Prepare and deliver monthly and quarterly financial reports, focusing on key metrics such as revenue, gross profit, operating expenses, and EBITDA.
  • Conduct profitability analysis by product or business line and offer recommendations to improve financial performance.
  • Build dashboards and reports using financial tools (e.g., Adaptive Insights, Hyperion) and visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to present actionable insights to stakeholders.

Strategic Financial Modeling:

  • Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic initiatives, including pricing strategies, market expansions, M&A evaluations, and capital expenditures.
  • Provide scenario and sensitivity analysis to evaluate potential financial outcomes under various assumptions.
  • Support long-term financial planning by modeling cash flow, capital allocation, and return on investment for key initiatives.

Business Partnership:

  • Act as a financial lead for strategic initiatives, partnering with department heads to drive financial discipline and accountability.
  • Present financial performance, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership to support informed decision-making.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product teams to ensure financial objectives are aligned with broader business strategies.

Process Improvement & Automation:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within the financial planning process, utilizing tools such as Anaplan, Adaptive Insights, and ERP systems (NetSuite, Oracle, SAP).
  • Streamline financial reporting processes to reduce manual work and improve timeliness and accuracy.

Ad-Hoc Analysis & Special Projects:

  • Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis to support business decisions related to market entry, pricing strategies, and new product development.
  • Analyze large datasets, providing actionable recommendations to drive business success.
  • Support investor relations and board presentations with robust financial analysis and forecasts.

Position Requirements:

Software Skills:

  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling expertise.
  • Proficiency with major financial planning systems (Anaplan, Adaptive Insights, Hyperion, Pigment) and experience with data analytics tools (SQL, Tableau, Power BI).
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems (NetSuite) and their integration into forecasting models.

Analytical Skills:

  • Expertise in financial statement analysis (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) and the ability to assess key metrics.
  • Strong analytical abilities to identify trends in complex data and communicate insights effectively to senior leadership.
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally and present financial insights that influence business strategies.

Success Metrics:

  • Deliver forecasts with an accuracy of 2% or better.
  • Improve the speed and precision of monthly financial reporting.
  • Automate manual FP&A processes and deliver financial insights that drive measurable business decisions.
