Job Description
Senior Financial Analyst to assist the Finance and Operations Team in detailed reporting, processing of high-volume daily funding activity, reconciliation of individual funding transactions, detailed management reporting, financial planning, and analysis & accounting duties to senior management. The position will be based out of our Manhattan office and minimum of 3 days per week in the office required.
- Financial Analysis and Reporting:
- Strong understanding of economic and accounting principles, financial calculations, reporting, and valuation methodologies
- Process daily funding and transactional activity on NetSuite, the Company's accounting and ERP system and other operational duties.
- Assist with day-to-day accounting duties, monthly close, bank reconciliations and preparation for the annual & field audits.
- Create ad hoc reporting and financial analysis.
- Gain a general and basic understanding of the business of the Company.
- Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with VP of Finance and Underwriting teams to prioritize business and information needs.
- Identify and define new process improvement opportunities while working with Development and IT teams.
- Deliver financial and operational reporting on a regular basis to senior management.
- Quick to learn and work both independently and as part of a team.
- Professional Skills and Abilities:
- Advanced user proficiency with computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Excel)
- Experience working with NetSuite (preferably) and QuickBooks.
- Communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
- Organizational skills - able to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines.
Requirements
- Minimum 2-3 years of proven working experience as a Financial Analyst or Audit Associate.
- A strong understanding of Excel with at least 2-3 years of working experience (formulas, reporting, and shortcuts)
- Bachelor's Degree and a solid understanding of financial and accounting concepts are strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, and analyze reports with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and provide innovative solutions.
- Exceptional communication skills to present findings and recommendations effectively.
- Direct experience with financial services such as banking, auditing, investing, or lending is highly preferred.

- Enjoys taking ownership and assisting in leading junior members of a team.
- Understand the importance of sharing ideas and knowledge within a team setting. Once acclimated to CFGMS, you will be responsible for senior-level reporting and analysis.
