Senior Financial Analyst - Freebird : Job Details

Freebird Stores is looking for a detail-oriented and strategically minded senior financial analyst to join our finance team. The senior financial analyst's responsibilities include assisting with planning and budgeting processes, analyzing financial statements and reports, developing models, tracking KPIs, preparing projections, and performing research and analysis as may be required by leadership. The senior financial analyst will also assist in the monthly close process and serve as a key business partner across the organization.

• Building and managing financial forecast models.
• Managing bi-weekly store-level incentive compensation.
• Analyzing compensation-related data including wages and bonuses.
• Comparing anticipated and actual results and identifying areas of opportunity.
• Understanding key business drivers, tracking KPIs, reviewing and analyzing financial statements and reports.
• Performing research and analysis as required.
• Assisting business partners with financial guidance and on ad-hoc requests.
• Ensuring compliance with financial guidelines, company policies, and relevant regulations.

• Proven work experience as a Senior Financial Analyst, Financial Analyst or similar role.
• Excellent analytical skills, problem-solving and strategic thinking skills.
• Ability to present financial information to a non-financial audience.
• Expertise in MS Excel (creating spreadsheets and using advanced formulas).
• Basic understanding of the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information.
• Hands-on experience with financial reporting and accounting software.
• Understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning systems (ERP).
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
