Summary:

The Senior Financial Analyst plays a pivotal role in the financial management of the company by establishing and maintaining financial standards, analyzing and interpreting financial data, and providing actionable insights to support business decision-making. This position is responsible for managing the company's financial planning processes, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial models, and supporting various corporate financial functions, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. The role requires close collaboration with senior management, internal and external auditors, and various departments to ensure the company's financial health and compliance with industry standards.

This is an on-site position based at our Goose Creek, SC facility.

Responsibilities:

Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Financial Planning System Administration: Manage the company's financial planning processes, ensuring efficient operation, security, and user support.
  • Model Development & Maintenance: Develop, update, and maintain financial models to align with the company's evolving business needs.
  • Business Plan & Forecasting: Work with management to generate business plans and forecasts for various operating segments with focus on multi-year performance targets.
  • Monthly, Quarterly & Annual Reporting: Analyze monthly financial results and prepare reports for monthly business reviews, earnings calls, and Board of Directors meetings.

Operational & Cost Analysis

  • Cost Analysis: Authenticate standard costs, collect operational data, and compare actual results with plans and forecasts to identify variances and financial status.
  • Review: Periodically confirm operation department activities and determine validity of processes and reported results.
  • Reporting: Present results and findings to various levels of management with focus on collaborative solutions and future business success.
  • Policy & Procedure Enforcement: Guide the cost analysis process by establishing policies, analyzing trends, and proposing actions to management.

Data Management & Reconciliation

  • Data Integrity: Reconcile transactions by comparing and correcting data, maintain financial databases by entering, reviewing, and authenticating data.
  • Support Documentation: Provide and maintain supporting documents throughout the year for internal control testing and audit processes.

Process Improvement & Automation

  • Productivity Enhancement: Develop automated processes and coordinate information requirements to increase productivity.
  • Business Intelligence Implementation: Participate in business intelligence system implementation, identifying data sources, information needs, and reporting solutions.

Collaboration & Support

  • Controller Support: Assist the Controller with accounting, reporting, and ad-hoc special projects.
  • Finance Department: Coordinate with local, off site, and foreign finance teams on initiatives.
  • Production Departments: Establish relationships with various department managers and drive engagement on financial solutions.
  • Auditors: Communicate with internal and external auditors, providing necessary support and documentation.

Continuous Learning & Compliance

  • Technical Knowledge Maintenance: Stay updated with industry standards by attending educational workshops and reviewing relevant publications.
  • Confidentiality & Compliance: Protect financial information confidentiality and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Team Contribution

  • Cross-Functional Support: Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks and projects as needed, ensuring overall team success.

Requirements:

Background

Education

Minimum: Bachelors in related field

Technical Experience

Minimum: 7+ years

Preferred: 10+ years

Manufacturing

Minimum: None

Preferred: 3+ years

Training / Certifications

Preferred: CPA

Other Preferred

• Thorough knowledge of US GAAP.

• Experience with SAP and Oracle Hyperion preferred.

• Experience implementing business improvements.

• Experience dealing with and supporting colleagues from multiple locations, backgrounds, and cultures.
