Position Description
The Senior Financial Analyst, Operations Finance is responsible for the Refresco North America financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting control activities and general ad hoc financial analysis and support of the Ft. Gibson, OK factory. This role will report to the Ft. Gibson Controller. This role provides opportunities to work in a dynamic and results-driven work environment and to build relationships with cross functional teams across the network. Ideal candidates will have a foundational understanding of general accounting, manufacturing processes, embrace a growth mindset, focused on continuous improvement, and a strong commitment for compliance to policy and best business practices.
Duties:
- Analytical skill set with a focus on being able to produce financial reporting that can be used to answer questions about results, highlight issues and monitor and drive process improvement in a high paced environment.
- Ensure compliance with Refresco control policies and procedures. This includes, but is not limited to Purchasing, AP, fixed assets, and inventory controls.
- Coordinate and manage month end close activities and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Work cross functionally with other factory departments to support their reporting and compliance requirements
- Assist with inventory and waste analysis to identify cost savings opportunities actionable by plant management.
- Provide operational cost tracking and reporting
- Complete weekly and monthly financial forecasts + annual budgets.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- B.S. / B.A. degree in Finance or Accounting preferred or related experience.
- Two (2) or more years related work experience in manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Manufacturing experience highly desirable
- Ability to utilize SAP and Excel to navigate through large data sets and summarize findings with strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
- Relates well to people at all levels of the organization, communicates effectively, resolves conflict, with the ability to understand and meet the needs of their business partners. Consistently delivers results and demonstrates personal initiative and independent motivation to achieve goals and objectives. Demonstrated ability to take initiative and accountability for results, with creative and strategic problem-solving skills. Attention to detail and the ability to build interpersonal relationships with clients, peers, and management.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Advanced knowledge of Excel is a must. Proficient in PowerPoint, Word, and eager to learn other software applications
- SAP/BI experience preferred
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, with demonstrated critical thinking, and problem solving skills
- Ability to demonstrate continuous improvement in previous roles.
- High level of accountability. A self-starter with strong initiative and the ability to work independently. Strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to multi-task, and work in an organized, detailed manner under limited time frames & tight deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability explain results, document processes, and convey ideas.
- Results oriented with a sense of urgency, able to work under deadline pressures.
- Ability to balance multiple tasks with changing priorities.
Working Conditions:
- Physical Demands– Continuously sitting for prolonged periods, as the job is administrative in nature.
- Visual/Sensory – This position requires attention to detail, requiring attention with one or two senses at a time.
- Work Environment – Work and environment fasted paced, requiring ability to remain focused under pressure.
