Responsible for assisting Departmental Manager and Supervisor in the production of high-quality aircraft parts and assemblies, as well as the installation and testing of aircraft systems and equipment following Piper Drawings, Process Specifications (PPS) and other manufacturing instructions.Assists in meeting or exceeding planned production and delivery schedules while maximizing company resources to achieve company goals.
Essential Job Functions: Perform all of the job functions of a Senior Line Mechanic plus the following:
Works with other manufacturing areas to ensure production readiness for design changes. Provides assistance when required during new product development design, build and testing. This may periodically involve augmenting or assisting Experimental Flight Test Department in different capacities as required to achieve critical program milestones.
Work as a manufacturing representative during the FAA inspection and auditing of manufacturing processes
Serves as senior lead with the ability to influence and willingness to receive and share practical knowledge, train, cross-train and mentor teammates within career path to perform necessary job functions and requirements in order to attain satisfactory levels of performance and production effectivity.
Adhere, maintain, assist and train teammates within career path to all departmental compliance requirements such as Safety, Environmental Protection, FOD and Tool Control, 5S and other assigned programs.
Partners with Senior I position to perform audits of areas within the department as required to maintain compliance with all FAA and Piper operational requirements. Initiate related operational process or procedural corrective action, or request additional assistance from leadership or other support teams where necessary.
Perform duties of lower graded position within Career Path and other duties as assigned by supervision.

Physical Demands
Demonstrates physical and functional ability to perform full anatomical range of motion to accomplish tasks. Evidence of visual and aural acuity and finger and hand dexterity to operate job specific equipment. Can withstand long periods of sitting, standing and/or constant walking. Ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs. Other physical requirements include the ability to bend, kneel, crouch, twist, balance and reach above, out, and below.
