Overview:
SENIOR GLOBAL AGRICULTURE SERVICES MANAGER
PepsiCos newly formed Global Agriculture Office (GAO) is charged with building a highly productive vertically integrated potato supply chain, leveraging our global scale to build critical capabilities, ensure future growth and create value for our farmers, our partners, our business and to delight our loyal customers. We will do this by supporting our Positive Agriculture goals, building world class capability in our regional agricultural teams, enabling sourcing strategies that are informed by climate risk, accelerate productivity, and ensure a pipeline of transformative potato varieties, seed and technologies.
The Senior Global Agriculture Services Manager will play a strategic role in achieving these goals, reporting to the Senior Director of Global Agriculture Implementation within PepsiCos Global Ag Office. Delivering on the following priorities:
- Supporting the future of agriculture for our farmers and business partners through robust adoption of high-quality varieties and technology, securing growth of our global brands, attracting, developing and retaining highly capable growers, and delivering bottom- and top-line value to the P&L.
- Leverage their network to develop, maintain and grow shared-value partnerships.
- Drive big changes to big things by developing innovative and transformational solutions to the challenges impacting our business.
Responsibilities:
- To accelerate the adoption and scale of global agriculture solutions and productivity initiatives across the region. Including but not limited to: Potato Seed Planning and Quality Optimisation; Optimised potato production through Best Practice development; Optmised Potato Variety and technology adoption and performance; Innovative commercial terms to mitigate risk and optimize value to PepsiCo and its Growers; Storage and Logistics Optimisation.
- Responsible for overseeing the regional activities for the Global Agriculture Office (GAO) Productivity Council, ensuring that the region and corresponding Business Units achieve their intended results.
- Collaborate with PepsiCo regional agriculture teams across functions to adopt and implement uniform standards, policies, best practices, and technologies.
- Use their current network, operate independently to create partnership frameworks, and manage external relationships with collaborators and partners in the industry following the GOA strategy to drive innovation, secure investment, build capability, and acquire necessary resources to achieve the goals.
- Collaborate with the regional and business unit teams in agriculture to coordinate the required Annual Operating Plan (AOP) harmonization and planning needed to achieve the investment and productivity goals in line with the GOA strategy.
- Act as the main liaison between regional agronomy and business unit agronomy teams and Global Resources that back the GAO strategy. This includes coordinating with the Global Sustainability Office, Supply Chain Finance, Public Policy/Government Affairs, Global Communications, and Legal to create and execute global initiatives and partnerships in the region.
- Collaborate with the region and support teams to identify and cultivate regional priorities, making sure all parties are updated and engaged.
Qualifications:
- This role requires a high degree of technical capability. Candidates for this role should have an ag-sciences degree, masters or higher preferred, and more than 10 years of relevant experience.
- This role will require a significant external presence, with an established external network and working experience across relevant industry collaborators and partners.
- Developing, influencing, and leading external partnerships and collaborations that drive impact.
- Proven track record developing and scaling innovative programs aligned to our strategic priorities (seed ramp/variety adoption, ensuring future growth, attracting/developing talent, accelerating productivity).
- Proven project management track record with the ability to handle multiple complex projects, set priorities, coordinate programs across the Region, including deployment of market specific projects.
- Proven track record utilizing digital platforms to leverage Information systems by using existing software platforms and data tools to extract information and intelligence that support the GA objectives.
- Supply chain finance and commercial procurement experience in an agricultural supply chain is a bonus.
- Experience with Decision/Precision Agriculture tools and technologies.
- Knowledgeable on Regenerative, Climate & Water Smart Agriculture.
