The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and self-motivated Senior Healthcare Data Analyst to join our team. This hybrid role will require you to analyze, synthesize, and report on business operations, customer operations, and health analytics within our data warehouse from multiple systems, including; AthenaOne electronic health record (EHR) platform, Salesforce.com, Vonage, Sage, and our proprietary FlyteHealth software platform.
You will work cross functionally with multiple operating divisions, including; clinical services, product, finance, customer success, marketing division, finance division, and our customers who utilize our software and clinical services.
Your focus will be on creating long-term, scalable data architecture solutions, enhancing data management practices, and developing comprehensive reporting frameworks.
You will be part of team that drives the data analytics strategy, ensuring governance, data quality, and integrity, and work with the product team to develop advanced analytics and AI/machine learning tools.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Analytics and Reporting:
- Analyze, structure, cleanse, and visualize data to manage clinical and business operational reporting for FlyteHealth, its partners, and its customers.
- Build and maintain business intelligence dashboards/reports using data visualization tools (DOMO knowledge a plus), to develop customized reports and dashboards to meet various internal and external stakeholder needs.
Data Architecture and Management:
- Design, implement, and optimize data architecture solutions.
- Maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models, develop strategies for optimizing data storage, and ensure the consistency of data models across projects.
Collaboration and Expertise:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data architecture and reporting solutions align with business requirements.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on Athena and RCM systems, providing guidance and support to team members.
Research:
- Understand and implement reporting methodologies affiliated with actuarial science cost benefit analyses related to medication claims and medical care claims.
- Assist internal and external resources in research studies conducted by FlyteHealth and its partners/customers.
Documentation and Training:
- Create and maintain reporting and analytics documentation using JIRA/Confluence related to data dictionaries, data architecture, and data diagrams across all systems and tools.
- Provide training and support to end-users on data-related tools and technologies.
Qualifications and Requirements
- A bachelor's degree or higher in Economics, Statistics, Health Economics, Actuarial Science, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field; a master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience within the healthcare finance/revenue cycle management, healthcare outcomes analysis/real world evidence research, or actuarial science fields.
- Strong skills in SQL, mySQL, PostgreSQL, Python and practical experience with BI, data warehousing , and data integration tools such as R, DOMO, Tableau, Looker, QuickSight, Mode, Sisense, Redshift, Snowflake, and others.
- Experience in healthcare data architecture, focusing on EHR optimization and revenue cycle management.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with a strong attention to detail and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
