• Inspect environment to determine Infection Control and Safety Standards are maintained.
• Supervise employees engaged in such tasks as operating polishing machines and automatic scrubber, snow removal, removal of refuse/recycling materials, the cleaning of pits, roof, grounds, and greenery around the hospital.
• Assist in training personnel. Evaluates effectiveness of housekeeping program.
• Is responsible for maintaining records; prepares reports.
• Enhances personnel and professional development.
• Wear professional attire to the workplace as well as during off site work, when conducting business on behalf of the NYC Health & Hospitals.
• Ensure that staff follows all approved policies and procedures.
• Perform related duties as assigned.

Minimum QualificationsOne year of service in the title of Housekeeper or performing housekeeping or related functions.
