Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Senior HR Generalist to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive HR support, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, and compliance. You will work closely with leadership and employees to foster a positive work environment and drive initiatives that align with the core values and business objectives of our client. You will have to be an excellent communicator and listener, being the employee advocate, and lead culture pulse surveys and culture committee.

Responsibilities
  • Talent Acquisition & Onboarding: Lead the recruitment process, including sourcing, interviewing, and hiring top talent. Develop and implement effective onboarding programs to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
  • Employee Relations: Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and management, addressing concerns, resolving conflicts, and providing guidance on HR policies and procedures.
  • Compliance & Policy Development: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Update and maintain HR policies, procedures, and the employee handbook.
  • Training & Development: Identify training needs, develop and deliver training programs, and promote a culture of continuous learning and development within the organization.
  • HR Data & Reporting: Maintain HRIS systems, generate reports, and analyze key HR metrics to provide insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Employee Engagement: Plan and execute employee engagement initiatives that align with our mission and values. Drive a positive company culture and foster a diverse and inclusive workplace.
  • Payroll Administration: Oversee and manage the payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely processing of bi-weekly payroll for all employees. Collaborate with Finance to reconcile payroll data, manage deductions, and resolve payroll discrepancies. Handle payroll audits, tax filings, and year-end processes.
  • Benefits Administration: Administer employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, 401(k), and other company-sponsored plans. Manage open enrollment, process benefits changes, and coordinate with external vendors to resolve benefits issues.
  • Compensation & Benefits: Manage compensation programs, conduct market analyses, and work with external vendors to ensure competitive and equitable benefits offerings.
  • HR Operations & Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including FMLA, ADA, FLSA, and COBRA. Maintain up-to-date HR policies and procedures and ensure they are communicated effectively to employees.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously review and improve HR processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and employee experience. Lead and participate in HR projects to support business needs and objectives.
  • Performance Management: Oversee performance review processes, coach managers on effective feedback, and ensure alignment with company goals and objectives. Develop strategies to promote employee growth and retention.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. HR certification (PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP) is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in HR operations, with a strong emphasis on payroll administration and compliance.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and HRIS systems; experience with ADP Workforce Now or similar platforms is preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll and employment laws.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage data, analyze reports, and provide actionable insights.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Experience in process improvement and project management is a plus.
