About the Role: EnTech seeks a full-time Senior HR Manager with at least 5 years of HR experience within the A/E/C industry and 8 years of experience total to join our growing team. This position requires someone comfortable working in an evolving environment where many processes are still in development. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on person who leads multiple HR functions, including the Core HR and HRIS team, Payroll, and Talent Acquisition. This position requires in-depth knowledge of state and local laws in New York, New York City, and New Jersey, as well as the ability to design, implement and moderate company-wide guidelines and policies. As a Senior HR Manager, you will lead a team of 3 core HR staff and be instrumental in building a cohesive, high-performing HR team. - Operational Excellence
- Take ownership of the HR department's evolution, design new processes and enhance existing ones.
- Handle day-to-day HR tasks as needed, particularly during the redesign and handoff of responsibilities to appropriate staff.
- Act as a point of contact for employee relations issues and conflict resolution.
- Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a core team of 3 HR staff across various functions.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment.
- Build, develop, and optimize HR processes to support company growth.
- HR Strategy and Policy Development:
- Develop and implement HR guidelines, policies, and procedures in compliance with State and City laws.
- Ensure alignment of HR functions with business objectives.
- Core HR and HRIS Oversight:
- Oversee Paylocity HRIS system buildout and ensure data integrity.
- Monitor and improve HR processes and systems.
- Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning:
- Drive talent acquisition strategies to attract and retain top talent.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to forecast staffing needs and develop recruitment plans.
- Payroll and Compliance:
- Manage payroll processes to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations.
- Perform other HR duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years total work experience; 5 years of HR experience in the A/E/C industry.
- Comprehensive knowledge of New York State and City employment laws and regulations.
- Proven experience in leading and managing HR teams, particularly in dynamic or rapidly evolving environments.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and payroll management.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a team-oriented approach.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and projects in fast-paced environments.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.
Preferred Qualifications:
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or similar HR certification.
- Experience building HR functions from the ground up.
- Familiarity with talent management and organizational development strategies.
