Our client, a high growth entertainment/creative company, is seeking a Head of HR (Sr Manager Level) to build and scale HR infrastructure. If you have a background in entertainment, media, creative agency, or similar, this could be a super fun role!
Location: Remote currently but office will be based in LA and will require 1x per week in office
Compensation: 135-155k Base
HR Responsibilities
· Administer employee health benefits and wellness programs, including managing external partners and vendors.
· Ensure all Company policies, procedures, and best practices comply with all federal, state, and local regulations.
· Advise employees regarding HR policies and processes and oversee day-to-day HR processes related to new hires, promotions, leaves, and terminations.
· Be the trusted go-to person for all employees who have questions and/or concerns related to the workplace.
· Keep leadership informed of any employee-related issues as they arise, proactively and promptly investigate complaints and job-related incidents, identify, recommend and implement solutions.
· Foster an environment that promotes teamwork, recognition, respect, and employee satisfaction.
· Provide coaching and training to supervisors on key employee relations topics.
Qualifications:
· The position requires a hands-on leader who is self-motivated, energetic, and able to partner effectively with the organizational leadership to gain their respect and trust.
· Capacity to work in an extremely dynamic, start-up like environment, with the ability to utilize sound judgment, discretion and maintain confidentiality.
· Demonstrated problem solving and conflict resolution skills with the ability to provide high quality independent analysis, conclusions, and recommendations.
· Must be knowledgeable in all aspects of Human Resources and federal & state laws, and exhibit a high degree of confidence, integrity, and professionalism.
· Strong written, verbal and presentation communication skills are required.
· Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration or other related fields required.
· 5+ years of progressive Human Resources Generalist experience. HR Certification (such as SPHR or SHRM-SCP) preferred.
· In-depth knowledge of current labor regulations such as ADA, FMLA, EEO, Wage and Hour Law, benefits, and COBRA laws.
