Senior Human Resources Manager

Taylor English Duma LLP seeks a dynamic and experienced HR Manager to join our team. The HR Manager will play a crucial role in the firm's success by overseeing the integration of new employees and attorneys, managing key human capital processes, and supporting a range of HR functions including recruiting, staffing, onboarding, and benefits administration. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional interpersonal skills, a strong understanding of HR best practices, and a passion for creating an inclusive and supportive workplace environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Integration:

- Facilitate the seamless integration of new employees and attorneys into the firm's culture and operations, ensuring alignment with our values and objectives.

- Develop and implement integration programs that support a smooth transition for new hires.

- Design and execute orientation sessions and integration events to familiarize new hires with the firm's policies, procedures, and culture.

- Act as a liaison between new hires and existing team members to promote collaboration and relationship-building.

- Conduct regular check-ins with new hires to assess their integration progress and address any concerns or challenges.

- Develop and monitor integration metrics to evaluate the success of integration initiatives and identify areas for improvement.

- Provide ongoing support and resources to ensure new hires are fully acclimated and productive within the firm.

Recruiting and Staffing:

- Partner with the firm's Director of Recruiting to develop and implement effective recruiting strategies to attract top talent, including attorneys, paralegals, and support staff.

- Coordinate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and create job postings that accurately reflect requirements and expectations.

- Oversee the allocation of paralegal and legal practice support resources and assignments to support attorneys and legal teams.

- Coordinate with practice group leaders to prioritize tasks, manage workloads, and ensure timely completion of projects.

- Monitor paralegal and legal practice support staff productivity and performance, providing feedback and support as needed to optimize efficiency and quality of work.

Onboarding:

- Execute comprehensive onboarding programs to equip new hires with the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to succeed in their roles.

- Coordinate orientation sessions, training programs, and mentorship opportunities to facilitate a seamless onboarding experience.

- Develop onboarding materials and resources that support new hires in their roles and foster understanding of the firm's culture and expectations.

Benefits Administration and Employee Relations:

- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other offerings, ensuring that employees understand and can fully utilize their benefits.

- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefits questions and assist in the annual benefits enrollment process.

- Manage relationships with benefits providers and work with HR leadership to assess benefits plans for cost-effectiveness and employee satisfaction.

- Support the firm's employee relations efforts by providing guidance to managers and staff on HR policies and practices, handling employee concerns, and promoting a positive workplace culture.

- Assist in the development and communication of employee policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Performance Management and Development:

- Support performance management processes by coordinating performance reviews, providing resources for manager and employee development, and ensuring alignment with the firm's goals.

- Identify and implement opportunities for professional development, training, and skill enhancement for attorneys and staff.

- Collaborate with HR leadership to create initiatives that promote employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.

- Minimum of 5 years of experience required in a legal or professional services environment.

- Proven track record of implementing successful HR initiatives across recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, and employee relations.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.

- Strategic mindset and analytical capabilities, with the ability to identify opportunities for process improvement and organizational development.

- Adaptability and flexibility to effectively manage within a fast-paced environment.
