Title: IT Senior Project Manager
Location: Columbia, SC (Partial Onsite)
Duration: 12 + Months
Pay rate: $54 an hour on w2
Partial Onsite - Onsite -Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, other days as required by project planned deliverables.
Job Description:
The Team: The Sr. Project Manager will report to a Portfolio Manager with a team of 8 - 10 Project Managers. Most project teams will range between 8 - 20 team members. Team supports various portfolios including Data Exchange, Telephony, Mobile/Full Site, and AEM.
Duties:
- Responsible for overall coordination, status reporting, and stability of project-oriented work efforts. Responsible for moderate number of work efforts simultaneously that vary from a smaller to a moderate scale, with smaller number of hours to moderate number of hours, and with moderate system impacts and moderate scope and complexity. Adheres to project management processes and methodologies to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budgeted hours, adheres to high quality standards, and meets ISSM expectations. Monitors project plans, assignments and work efforts on a daily basis. Ensures resource needs are assigned appropriately and escalates functional, quality, timeline issues. Tracks key project milestones and adjusts project plans to meet the needs of work effort. Responsible for leading the project from inception to final business acceptance and implementation.
- 25% Develops and monitors project plans, risk management plans, and project documentation from scope to post-implementation. Ensures project documentation and deliverables are complete, on budget, within scope, and in accordance with standards.
- 20% Identifies items that impact the scope, budget, risk, and resources of the work effort. Monitors resource requirements based on project specifications. Ensures resources are assigned to meet project objectives while managing project hours budgeted.
- 20% Responsible for the development, execution, and maintenance of project communications. Facilitates effective communications between all parties involved in the project and/or work efforts. This will include meetings, correspondence, status reports and other documentation.
- 20% Identifies the impact of issues arising from the work efforts and/or resource requirements. Manages the project issues throughout the project life cycle. Communicate the implications of changes to the project scope with senior management and other appropriate parties.
- 15% Responsible for ensuring all work efforts have appropriate documentation for audit purposes utilizing project methodology standards in accordance with the ISSM.

Required Software and Tools:
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and project management tools.

- Fast paced, dynamic environment which may require action and response 24X7 to support the technical business needs of the customer and where one must be flexible to changing priorities.
Required Education:
- Bachelor's Degree or 4 years of job related work experience or 2 years of job related experience plus an associate's degree in any major.
Required Work Experience:
- 5 years IT experience in a leadership capacity, including 2 years experience leading two or more concurrent project teams.
- Completion of the client's Training Program for Project Management may substitute for one year of experience.

- Lead several projects (one to five) in a strong matrix environment executing Software Development Lifecycle methodologies.
- Developing and monitoring project plans, communication plans, risk management plans, and project artifacts from project initiation to post implementation/closure.
- Ensures project deliverables are complete on time, on budget, within scope, and in accordance with client's standards:
- Responsible daily for the development, execution, and maintenance of project plans and project communications: o facilitating effective communications between all parties involved in the project, including meetings, correspondence/recaps, status reports and other project artifacts per client's standards.
- Monitors resource requirements and assigned deliverables based on project specifications. Ensures resources are assigned to meet project objectives while managing project hours budgeted. • Identifies and manages tasks and issues that impact the scope, budget, risk, and resources of the work effort to ensure delivery as planned. • Provides both written and verbal project status updates upon request. • The candidate should be versed in IT SDLC as this is a senior level position.
