We are seeking an initiative-taking Senior Interior Designer for our growing team to be an extension of our design style and manage projects from concept to completion, alongside the principal, Tina Ramchandani.

What You'll Do:

Take initiative: From inception to installation, you'll guide projects independently, crafting spaces that embody TRC's signature style and seamlessly merge client visions with meticulous execution.

Master the details: Develop comprehensive space plans, budgets, schedules, and construction documentation, ensuring each project flows flawlessly. Budget-savvy and organized, you'll manage both time and materials with an eagle eye.

Develop the interiors through our signature vision: Bring the vision to life through custom-designed millwork, window treatments, furniture, floor coverings, and sourced elements such as hardware, plumbing fixtures, tile and stone, and other materials. Through our design drawing sets we bring design to life. This includes creating decorative and construction drawing sets in Autocad, designing custom window treatments and furniture, and sourcing.

Manage the project: You'll organize projects, tasks, and meetings, while keeping the extended team such as vendors and builders on task and on schedule.

Bridge the gap: Your exceptional communication skills and emotional intelligence will build trust with clients. You'll actively listen, understand their needs, and provide top-tier customer service, creating an effortless experience throughout the design journey.

Stay sharp: We encourage our team to stay up to date on market trends, innovative materials, and evolving design tools. We conduct regular showroom and vendor visits and are looking for someone with a thirst for design.

Job Type: Full-time- New York City

Pay: $85,000 - $120,000 per year (dependent upon experience)

Requirements You Must Have:

  • An interior design or related degree (level doesn't matter)
  • At least 6 years of residential high-end interior design experience
  • Strong project management skills
  • Experience working in the NYC Market with contractors and vendors
  • An understanding of luxury clients' dream space expectations
  • Residence in the NYC Metropolitan area and/or within a ~90 minute commute from NYC: You are able to get to office year-round
  • Highly proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Dropbox
  • Superb oral and written communication skills
  • The desire to work for TRC full time – You are not a current business owner or freelance unless looking to leave & dedicate full-time to our firm
  • Loyalty & looking to stay with a firm long-term

It's a Bonus if You Have:

  • Familiarity with SketchUp, Slack, Studio Designer, Asana
  • Knowledge of high-end showrooms & product lines
  • Experience w/ custom furniture design & reviewing construction/millwork drawings
