SummaryThe Senior Lobby Services Specialist (SLSS) assists Branch Manager or Branch Supervisor with daily operations and provides assistance, guidance, and supervision to teller and Lobby Services Specialist staff. Performs teller functions and account service functions: handles teller transactions, resolves service issues, opens accounts and handles the sale and setup of complex products and services. In addition, the SLSS performs a variety of duties including, promoting and selling the banks products and services, building relationships by offering a wide variety of products and by identifying and pursuing cross-sell opportunities while providing an exceptional client experience.Essential Functions
  • Processes daily transactions for customers including: check cashing services, accept deposits, sells monetary instruments and US savings bonds, process loan payments and cash advances
  • Balances cash drawer daily
  • Accepts deposits: verifying cash, endorsements, and issues receipts
  • Accepts wire transfer, stop payment, address change and check order requests
  • Opens deposit accounts and obtains all legal documentation required
  • Recognizes cross-sell opportunities and generates referrals, actively engages in achieving both branch and individual sales goals
  • Utilizes CRM customer relationship software to maintain customer contact information and assist with product referrals
  • Maintains a portfolio of bank clients:
  • Stays in touch with these clients to make sure their banking needs are being met through the onboarding process and Book of Business calls
  • Responds to customer inquiries or concerns and creates positive solutions
  • Assist Branch Manager with inventory and control of night deposit operations including: bags, keys, and agreements
  • Responsible for dual control vault operations and end of day branch settlements
  • Reviews and approves deposits and withdrawals over the teller's limit and on new accounts
  • Provides first line support and assistance to tellers and LSSs on complex transactions or problems
  • Is knowledgeable of and follows the opening and closing procedures at their assigned location
  • Is knowledgeable of and compliant with all operational controls and regulatory procedures
  • Is knowledgeable of all bank policies and security equipment relating to teller and new account operations
  • Responsible for maintaining a high level of accuracy and security of bank assets
  • Remain flexible in position based on Branch coverage needs
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Required Education, Experience, Skills
  • Proficient computer skills (working knowledge of Word and Excel)
  • Exceptional communication (verbal and written) and customer service skills
  • 6 months to 1 year of bank teller experience and 1 year of new account experience or equivalent experience in a financial institution
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must possess ability to communicate effectively with clients in a positive manner
  • Successful completion of teller/new account training and any other compliance training deemed necessary by the bank
