The Knot WorldWide is seeking an energetic, enthusiastic, highly quantitative Senior Media Manager to lead consumer growth across both paid and affiliate acquisition efforts across The Knot and WeddingWire brands. Responsibilities include owning end-to-end paid marketing strategy and program operations management for B2C initiatives including but not limited to the following channels: OTT, CTV, OOH, Display, Paid Search, Social, App stores and affiliate. The position, reporting to Sr. Director of Media, involves partnering across multiple organizational units (consumer & integrated marketing, product, engineering and business management, FP&A) to increase visibility and return on ad spend for these growing brands. This position directly manages a team of marketing managers and analysts and will manage end-to-end aspects of media investment. RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead a team of marketing managers to own strategy and execution of consumer media support for both above the line and below the line investments to drive awareness, high value actions and increase ROI
  • Partner with consumer and integrated marketing teams to provide media strategy and roadmap supporting both evergreen and tentpole activations to support brand growth
  • Drive evergreen top of funnel membership and product high value action support through DTC efforts across marketplace, ecomm and early inspiration/membership
  • Develop, own, present forecast builds and spend models for various investment scenarios within media investment to business stakeholders and finance
  • Manage and sign off point for creative/copy team coordination to generate new creative and landing pages both testing and new initiatives across media
  • Plan and oversee execution of campaign testing including channel mix, ad creative, audience targeting, bid strategy, landing page optimization, new & emerging platforms
  • Provide input into martech, data science and data platform teams to align on marketing intelligence roadmap
  • Report on key metrics, analyze campaign results and strategize for growth routinely communication to stakeholders and executive leadership
SUCCESSFUL SENIOR MANAGER, CONSUMER MEDIA CANDIDATES WILL HAVE:
  • Minimum 8+ years professional experience in marketing media (strategy, operations and management background required)
  • Experience managing a team of media professionals of a team consisting of +4 members
  • Media agency experience preferred - background in strategy, buying, operations
  • Expertise directly planning, executing and optimizing successful brand, DTC and affiliate media programs (Video,/ Audio streaming, CTV, SEM, PMax, Programmatic, Social Media, App), effectively in a portfolio based model utilizing both directly managed team and agency support
  • Expert knowledge of affiliate marketing best practices (experience implementing programs preferred)
  • Experience and ability to leverage data from internal and external tools (MMM, attribution modeling Qlik/Tableau)
  • Experience planning, implementing and reporting on A/B testing programs and customer segmentation optimizations
  • Ability to identify and track movements in the media and affiliate environment and recommend potential shifts in strategy
  • Ability to clearly and concisely articulate performance reporting and test results to all stakeholders with the purpose of educating and obtaining buy-in for future funding and optimization opportunities
