Senior Continous Improvement ManagerPrinceton, NJ, USM15The Sr Manager, Continuous Improvement has full accountability for capability building on a predefined methodology, its standards and processes, as well as the integrity of this initial post-implementation strategy. Nevertheless, this role will have total autonomy to pilot implementations or roll-outs inside SQCPDM scope (safety, quality, cost, productivity, delivery and morale), leveraging a symmetric health growth and performance evolution for the business unit.At dsm-firmenich, being a force for good is not optional.   • Deployment of standard processes (including training material) across manufacturing and support areas for short-, medium- and long-term drumbeats/visibilities (i.e. shift, daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly).
  • Lead MES (Manufacturing Execution System) process improvement initiatives based on data gathering, comparison and matching with other systems inside production recipe execution, guided compounding systems, guided weighing, SU level stock management and scheduling.
  • Develop / adapt recurrent fault handling tools (like A3, CAPDo, PDCA/RCA, etc); execute/develop capabilities to execute these tools with direct stakeholders (leaders, supervisors, managers) without any support.
  • Develop/deploy KPIs and process/productivity improvement tools (i.e. OEE, SMEDs, MOATs, shift, daily, monthly, quarterly, etc.) loss views that are easily usable on the shop floor (by operators, shift leaders, auxiliaries and third parties) and leadership;
  • Be able to conduct site-level workshops or influence area owners alongside controllership to identify losses opportunities and follow up on results and action plans at least monthly.
  • Loss analysis: PMO/leadership for cost saving projects with cross functional teams inside manufacturing and support areas to deliver value for the business.

You offer
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred
  • Proven operations experience as leader/manager (line manager, supervisor) desirable
  • Proven experience with methodologies implementation (Lean, TPM, IWS or others) in different businesses (food, chemical, metallurgical, etc).
  • Proven experience with initiatives regarding MES desirable
  • L6S Green Belt certification
  • Fluency in Spanish a plus
