What You'll Do
Marquee Brands is looking for a proven Business Development performer to fill a key role on the team. The position will be responsible for new business development. The Senior Manager / Director will identify categories that complement the Brand DNA and strategy. They will research the best prospects and pitch to decision makers such as VPs, Directors of Marketing, and/or Brand Managers. Successful candidates will have an interest in marketing, developing their own sales assets, and understand the power of integrated marketing plans.
Key Responsibilities
Grow existing brand business by acquiring new product category and geographic territory licenseesLearn and understand Marquee's brand strategiesIdentify key contacts and potential partners through business network, e-mail & cold callingTravel to prospective partner meetings and industry conferences/showsBuild relationships with key decision makers with prospective licenseesDemonstrate how Marquee Brands can help partners achieve their marketing objectivesDevelop pitch decks that align brand value proposition with prospective licensee's interests and capabilitiesTake full ownership of the deal processLead and manage efficient and productive negotiations of deal termsManage complex contractual negotiation and work with legal counsel as required (legal background is a plus)Must be highly motivated and able to multi-taskMust be able to aggressively hunt, identify and close new business in order to meet/exceed sales targetsIdeal Candidate Qualifications
5+ years of successful sales experience in new business development in LicensingBachelor's degreeHave knowledge and understanding of licensees and product categoriesExcellent selling, communication, and negotiation skillsSelf-starter with a natural enthusiasm & confidenceHigh degree of personal accountability and attention to detailExcellent organizational, administrative and time management skillsAbility to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needsProficiency in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office softwareMarquee Brands Benefits and Perks
