UTA seeks a Senior Manager of Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting in its Los Angeles office. This role will have CPA qualifications and will be the primary point person for consolidations and compilation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting information, as well as assisting analysis and documentation of technical accounting matters. The ideal candidate will be motivated, have high attention to detail, and should be able to excel in a fast-paced work environment.
The salary range for this role is $155,000 to $185,000 commensurate with experience and skills.
What You Will Do
- Managing period close responsibilities over complex accounting topics such as consolidation, foreign currency, and share-based compensation.
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting requirements.
- Preparing accounting memorandums and/or journal entries for complex transactions such as business combinations, investments, etc.
- Developing and maintaining key accounting policies.
- Working closely with auditors on technical accounting matters and reporting.
- Assist with the integration of acquired businesses to corporate accounting policies and systems.
- Serve as a company-wide technical accounting resource for ad-hoc questions and initiatives.
What You Will Need
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field highly preferred.
- 8+ years of relevant accounting experience which includes complex technical accounting; 6+ years of public accounting experience (Big 4 experience a plus).
- CPA Preferred.
- Thorough understanding of US GAAP and the ability to research technical issues (US GAAP and UK GAAP), with particular emphasis on revenue recognition, share-based compensation, consolidation, business combinations, investments, and financial statement disclosures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, including the ability to articulate recommendations in a concise and timely manner.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
- Experience with Netsuite preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
