The Role

Our Manufacturing, Logistics, Energy & Utilities Consulting group is looking for a Manager, Consulting to join our journey. We're looking for Consulting Managers who can deliver within Cognizant's Five Pillars of Consulting Excellence: 1) Project Execution, 2) Expertise, 3) Business Development, 4) Practice Development, & 5) People Development. As a Manager, Consulting (which is a Senior Manager level position), this means a client-facing engagement, managing escalations, and serving as the owner of a workstream.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic guidance and solutions to clients in the cold storage warehousing industry, ensuring alignment with their business goals and objectives.
  • Conduct detailed assessments of clients' current cold storage operations, identifying areas for improvement and recommending best practices.
  • Identify and recommend business growth, cost-saving opportunities, and operational efficiencies for clients, leveraging data analytics and industry benchmarks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, IT, and operations, to deliver process improvements and operational excellence.
  • Define product/platform strategies and solutions focused on inventory management, logistics optimization, billing, and payments.
  • Partner with client leadership to manage the product vision and roadmap, adjusting to client's priorities and changing business needs.
  • Define high-level solutions, detailed features, and prioritize roadmaps that maximize business value realization.
  • Manage and escalate risks and concerns, communicating updates to clients and internal stakeholders on product roadmaps and ongoing development.
  • Lead business value creation from the development and implementation of cold storage solutions, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Manage client relationships, ensuring successful project delivery and high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Drive Cognizant Consulting's business across Transportation & Logistics.
  • Lead and mentor a team of highly dynamic & talented consultants.

    • Qualifications

    • Bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent relevant experience, with additional certifications preferred.
    • 10+ years of consulting experience with a focus on Transportation and Logistics.
    • Possess a deep understanding of the automotive industry with a proven track record of successful consulting engagements.
    • Demonstrate strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
    • Exhibit excellent communication and presentation skills capable of conveying complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
    • Show proficiency in project management with experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality results.
    • Have a strong client-focused mindset with the ability to build and maintain lasting relationships.
    • Display a proactive approach to problem-solving with a keen eye for identifying opportunities for improvement.
    • Ability to travel if needed for business requirements.
