Join us.Job DescriptionAECOM is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our innovative team in New York, NY to support our transportation business group. In this senior-level position, you will lead complex mechanical engineering projects, drive product development initiatives, and mentor junior engineers to deliver cutting-edge solutions. This position offers a hybrid work schedule+ Spearhead the design and development of advanced mechanical systems and products+ Lead and manage cross-functional engineering teams to achieve project goals and deadlines+ Conduct and oversee complex engineering analyses, including Finite Element Analysis (FEA)+ Develop and implement best practices for mechanical design and product development processes+ Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scopes, timelines, and resource requirements+ Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers+ Evaluate and implement new technologies and methodologies to improve engineering efficiency+ Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations+ Present technical findings and project updates to senior management and clients+ Contribute to the company's intellectual property portfolio through innovations and patentsQualificationsMinimum Requirements:+ BA/BS + 8 Years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or educationPreferred Requirements :+ Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field+ Professional Engineering (PE) license+ 10+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a proven track record in product development+ Advanced proficiency in CAD software, such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD+ Expertise in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and other simulation techniques+ Strong project management skills, including experience with relevant software tools+ In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems, product design, and manufacturing processes+ Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail+ Strong leadership and communication skills, with experience managing engineering teams+ Demonstrated ability to drive innovation and continuous improvement in engineering processes+ Familiarity with materials science and its applications in product development+ Experience presenting technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences+ Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environmentAdditional Information+ Relocation assistance is not available for this role+ Sponsorship is available for this roleOffered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications.
