Job DetailsAs a Mechanical Engineer, you will lead the mechanical design to complete engineering projects forpublic and private facilities throughout South Florida. The position will have direct interface withclients, subconsultants, contractors, sub-contractors, and other supporting organizations.Tasks include:
- Design and Engineering of HVAC systems, Plumbing Systems, and Fire Protection
systems
- Project specification writing
- Project cost estimating
- Code analysis
- Energy modeling
- Review project submittals, answer RFI's and other Construction Administration Services
- Collaboration with all internal discipline employees, external design partners, and clients
- Attend project site visits and client meetings
- Visit project sites for site investigations of existing buildings
- Perform mechanical, plumbing and fire protection engineering calculations
- Effectively communicate complex ideas and solve engineering issues that may arise
Qualifications:
- 3 or more years of experience in various types of facilities
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME)
- Knowledge of building codes and energy standards
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and REVIT is essential
- Experience with Trane TRACE, COMCheck, and other leading energy modeling software
