Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer (Rotating Equipment)

Rate: $75-90ph

Location: Tyler, Texas

Job Type: Contract to Permanent

Our client in Tyler is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer (Rotating Equipment) to join them on a contract basis paying $75-90 per hour dependent on experience. This role involves a range of mechanical engineering skills, broad experience with a background in rotating equipment. The ideal candidate will possess extensive EPC experience, having managed projects from concept to completion.

Senior Mechanical Engineer: Qualifications/Experience:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• PE License
• 10+ years experience in design and implementation within capital projects in the Oil & Gas industry
• Background with a variety of rotating equipment required such as pumps, reciprocating compressors, fans, and blowers
• Pipe stress analysis

Senior Mechanical Engineer: Main Responsibilities:

• Providing practical input into design and execution planning
• Contributing to commissioning and start-up planning and deliverables
• Reviewing equipment quantities, costs, and performance during vendor tests
• Evaluating EPC engineering deliverables and vendor documents to meet lifecycle targets
