Position Overview: As a Mechanical and Systems Design Engineer at G&H|ITL US, you will play a crucial role in the end-to-end design and development of our products, ensuring they meet stringent requirements for performance, cost-effectiveness, and regulatory compliance. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams under the guidance of principal engineers to deliver cutting-edge solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead mechanical design activities across projects using Solidworks, with expertise in sheet metal, machining, and injection molding processes.
  • Optionally contribute to systems design, encompassing optics, thermals, material properties, microfluidics, and other technical aspects.
  • Demonstrate understanding of electronics to facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Innovate through calculation and simulation, proposing novel solutions to technical challenges.
  • Generate comprehensive technical documentation packages to support project milestones.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, design validation exercises, and simulations to ensure robust product designs.
  • Manage project timelines effectively, taking ownership of design deliverables and ensuring timely completion.
  • Actively contribute to team development and departmental initiatives, fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Provide troubleshooting and fault-finding support as needed, demonstrating a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Operate within an ISO9001 quality management framework, adhering to company policies and regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of industry experience in mechanical design within relevant sectors.
  • Proficiency in Solidworks and familiarity with other design software/tools.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes such as sheet metal fabrication, machining, and injection molding.
  • Knowledge of systems engineering principles and their application in product development.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to innovate and optimize designs through calculation and simulation.
  • Effective communicator and team player, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

The responsibilities of this position will involve having access to items and technical data that may be controlled under U.S. export laws and regulations ( U.S. Export Control Laws ), including but not limited to the Export Administration Regulations ( EAR ) and the International Traffic in Arms Regulations ( ITAR ).
