If you're a Data Infrastructure Expert and understand the value of supporting technology and the people who depend on it, American Express is a great company to build your career with.As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer at American Express, you will have the following responsibilities:Design and implement American Express data network solutionsFunction as a technical Subject Matter Expert for American Express data networks including Global WAN, SD-WAN, IPSec VPN, MAN, LAN, and VXLAN FabricsEvaluate new and emerging network products and solutionsEnsure new platforms and technologies align to business and IT strategyAssist with network automation initiativesProvide Level 3 troubleshooting and support for critical network issues or outagesCoach, mentor, and train less experienced colleagues as requiredProvide architectural governance; review projects to ensure alignment to architectural standards and technical strategyPartner with third party vendors and carriers to ensure quality delivery and adherence to standardsAbility to work occasional nights and weekendsMinimum Qualifications7 years of experience in building and supporting Enterprise-scale data networksExpert level knowledge in routing protocols such as BGP and OSPFExpert level knowledge in routing, switching, and network technologies such as Spanning Tree, 802.1Q, Port-Channels, 802.1x, QoS, VLANs, SVIs, and MulticastExpert level IP knowledge, including TCP, UDP, and ICMPStrong knowledge of Cisco switching and routing platforms (Catalyst, Nexus, ISR/ASR)Strong knowledge of Arista switchesExperience with the following:SD-WAN technology and platformsIPSec VPN technology and platformsPublic cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, and AzureData center space provider offerings (Equinix Fabric, Megaport, etc.)Network automation and scriptingAnalyzing packet tracesGood understanding of security infrastructure, including firewall conceptsAbility to work under pressure and efficiently manage workload on multiple projects simultaneouslyExcellent communication skills, both oral and written, with ability to communicate to all levels of peers, customers, and leadershipMust be able to function effectively both individually and within a teamPreferred QualificationsF5 Application delivery controllersQualificationsSalary Range: $110,000.00 to $190,000.00 annually bonus benefitsThe above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
