Job Description:
(1) Serves as the overall communications architect.
(2) Responsible to coordinate with outside agencies and stakeholders.
(3) Creates/establishes communications architecture, coordinate communications plans, configure communications equipment, and assist in installing equipment and circuitry.
(4) Coordinates all aspects of the communications architecture and exercise support plans with communications planners at other simulation facilities such as the Network Enterprise Center (NEC), theater signal assets, and participating tactical units.
(5) Manages distribution of data, voice, and VTC over both LAN and WAN in both classified and unclassified modes for simulations/stimulation networks.
(6) Additional duties & supervisory responsibilities assigned by Tech Manager

(1) Education
(a) Required
- Associate degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or five years' experience in networking working with Cisco switches, routers, and associated industry standard routing protocols
- Five years' experience in understanding TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, Firewalls, and other networking devices.
(b) Desired
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
- BA or BS degree in Computer Science or Information Management Systems or eight years' experience in networking working with Cisco switches, routers, and associated industry standard routing protocols
(2) Qualifications
(a) Five years' experience working within appropriate Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) standards, TACLANE's, Cisco switches, routers, COMSEC devices and associated industry standard routing protocols.
(b) Experience in complex networking design and implementation.
(c) Industry standard technical certifications for IAT Level II, IAW DOD BPP 05-PR-M-0002 and DoDM 8140.03 Cyberspace Workforce and Management Program
(d) Must have and maintain an active TOP SECRET/SCI security clearance.
(e) Must be SOFA eligible.
