This position helps the business achieve optimum use of their computer networks by performing needs analyses, procurement support, installation, monitoring, configuration, training, and problem resolution for the core network infrastructure components. - Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools.
- Hands-on experience with Next Generation Firewall technology.
- A comprehensive knowledge of switching, routing, load balancing, IT schema's, circuits, and VPN.
- The ability to communicate effectively with customers and coworkers.
The Senior Network Infrastructure Engineer will:
- Design, deploy, and manage network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, wireless systems, and internet connections.
- Implement and maintain network security features for optimal performance and cost-efficiency.
- Monitor and optimize network performance to minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues using tools like Auvik and Wireshark.
- Conduct root cause analysis and recommend solutions to enhance reliability and functionality.
- Provide Tier 2/3 support for advanced network and security incidents.
- Customize and administer network management systems and related tools.
- Collaborate on hardware and software installations and upgrades.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies to improve business operations.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to design and implement IT solutions.
Minimum Qualifications
- An undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline preferred. Equivalent work experience considered.
- 5+ years of related experience
- One or more of the following certifications: PCCET, PCSA, PCNSE, CCNA, CCNP, Azure Security Engineer Associate
FLSA Category -Exempt, full-time Supervisory Responsibility - No Location - Buffalo, NY (Hybrid) Other Requirements - Night and weekend work may be necessary. Compensation: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 annual salary
