The Senior Platform Product Manager will be responsible for designing, developing, and managing requirements of our HP Intelligent Platform, within the Print software platform. The HP Intelligent Platform aggregates cloud services responsible for connecting over 200 million HP devices to the internet and keeping them connected. Work on this platform offers a unique perspective into the worlds of IoT, telemetry, user and organization management, data management, privacy and cloud software, serving both consumer and commercial customers.

The Senior Platform Product Manager is responsible for working closely with business unit stakeholders to ensure that the platform is meeting their needs and supporting customer-facing HP products and solutions, as well as improvements of efficiency in platform usage and operations. The Senior Platform Product Manager makes data-driven decisions and collaborates with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Architects, Program and other Product Managers, to drive platform functionality from concept to customer adoption.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build a scalable, secure, and reliable Print Software platform.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and priorities.
  • Own the business-specific platform roadmap for services and manage the backlog through constant prioritization.
  • Translate stakeholder needs into product requirements and definitions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to guide feature development and prioritization.
  • Translate user requirements into executable and workable feature items with the software engineering team.
  • Act as an advocate for stakeholders during the specification and development stages.
  • Manage the product lifecycle of functionalities on the Print Software platform.
    • Knowledge & Skills
  • Technical knowledge of cloud services and software platform systems, including enterprise, middleware, firmware, and embedded systems.
  • Adept at collecting and analyzing input from multiple sources (internal customers, product managers, engineering, architecture, and management).
  • Significant experience in software development, systems engineering, or software platform product management.
  • Ability to understand and deal well with rapid development cycles and remain flexible in the face of uncertainty.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both technical and non-technical language and translate between the two.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple, and sometimes conflicting, business requests.
  • Understand both the Enterprise and Consumer print markets and the associated technologies and business models.
    • Education & Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant area or demonstrated competence. Typically, 10+ years of relevant software product management experience.

    The base pay range for this role is $146,000 to $212,000 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to US candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
