Job Overview
We have a great opportunity for a Senior Polymer Engineer and Project Manager to join us in our Mountlake Terrace, WA office. This newly created position is an excellent career opportunity for an experienced candidate. This is not a remote position. Relocation assistance will be provided.
Forensic engineering is a fast-paced, dynamic and fascinating industry. The Jensen Hughes Forensics Division is a forensics engineering/consulting industry leader in fire and explosion investigations, construction defect lawsuits, piping failures, industrial failures, plumbing and HVAC failures, equipment failures, and large losses in general. Jensen Hughes has a state-of-the-art Materials Forensics laboratory in Mountlake Terrace, WA. The successful candidate is comfortable in a laboratory, in a courtroom, and on a failure scene. This individual will work within, and often lead, multi-disciplinary teams of engineers, scientists, and architects consulting on a wide variety of materials science issues mostly focused on failure analysis.
Responsibilities
This is a highly collaborative position that interacts with engineers, technicians, managers, clients and administrative staff. From a technical perspective, the position is involved with conducting hands-on failure analysis, planning and executing laboratory tests, composing written test plans, and field investigations. The individual in this position will also participate in business development and marketing activities to build the business. For the right candidate, this is a green-field opportunity to build a polymer engineering forensic consulting practice with built-in access to an excellent laboratory and the support of a nationally recognized materials engineering team.
