Acara Solutions has been providing staffing industry services to aerospace manufacturing organizations throughout the country for 65 years. Our national aerospace / defense client is looking for 3 Power Electronics Engineers to join their organization as salaried employees in their Ft. Walton Beach, FL plant. They also have a Power Electronics Manager opening at this location (new position). Salary range of $140K - $170K with possible flexibility for senior candidates.
This is an onsite position in Ft. Walton.
This individual will design high power AC-DC & DC-DC power converters and power sub-systems for applications including radar, directed energy, and military electric vehicles. There is also a manager position open for this team with similar experience to the below plus at least a few years of experience managing engineers.
A Power Electronics Engineer provides analog circuit and digital design for power conversion products. You will analyze and design high reliability, high power AC-DC & DC-DC power converters and power sub-systems for applications including radar, directed energy, and military more electric vehicles. You will help sustain our products by initiating innovative circuit designs, completing documentation, and conducting analysis and characterization.
Required Skills / Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or similar technical degree
Min 5 years of experience in power conversion product design and manufacturing that includes DC-DC or AC-DC digital design and analog circuit and digital design for power conversion products.
This is an ITAR facility, U.S. Persons Required. The employee will need to be eligible to get a Secret clearance (not required upfront).
Preferred: Many years of power electronics experience.
Master's or PhD in power electronics technologies
High power and vehicle electrification exp a plus
Experience with design of bi-directional power converters using digital design / code development for digital signal processor
Experience with designing product for harsh environments such as military applications
