This is a permanent position where you will play a pivotal role in driving our company's scientific research forward. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of scientists in conducting high-level research and development related to our portfolio of products and services. This role also involves contributing to the strategic planning and direction of our research department, ensuring that we remain at the cutting-edge of scientific innovation.Responsibilities:1. Lead and mentor a team of scientists in conducting innovative research and development projects.2. Develop and implement strategic research plans in line with the company's objectives.3. Conduct high-level analytical testing and data interpretation to support product development and improvement.4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate scientific research into product design and development.5. Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of scientific advancements in the fields of chemistry and biology.6. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards in the conduct of research, GCP, GLP.7. Present research findings to stakeholders and at scientific conferences.8. Publish research findings in reputable scientific journals.9. May participate in internal/external client and regulatory audits.10. Participate in the recruitment and training of new members of the research team.Qualifications:1. A PhD in Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior scientific research role.3. Proven experience in conducting analytical testing and interpreting complex data sets.4. Extensive knowledge of current trends and advancements in the fields of chemistry and biology.5. Strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to mentor and motivate a team.6. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex scientific information to a range of audiences.7. Proven record of published research in reputable scientific journals.8. Experience in preparing successful grant proposals and funding applications.9. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.10. High level of attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.11. Proficiency in using scientific research software and tools.12.
