Job Description :

We are seeking a Senior Principal Scientist with a focus in Ophthalmology to join our Clinical Imaging team. You will conceptualize, support, execute, operationalize and optimize complex early- to late-phase ophthalmology clinical trials where imaging plays a central role. Work closely with Regeneron clinical, preclinical and external partners, with emphasis on delivery of high quality imaging data and development of innovative imaging-based biomarkers across ophthalmic modalities and indications.

As a Senior Principal Scientist in Clinical Imaging, a typical day may include the following:

  • Collaborate closely with Research colleagues in Ophthalmology to develop and qualify imaging biomarkers with a view toward clinical translation.
  • Collaborate with Regeneron clinical teams as imaging subject matter expert to ensure optimal design and execution of imaging biomarker strategy related to study endpoints, including development of protocols, imaging manuals, imaging charters and statistical analysis plans, and be the main clinical team collaborator with imaging Clinical Research Organizations (CROs) ensuring flawless conduct and data integrity of study's imaging components.
  • Collaborate closely with different functions such as Regeneron Genetics Center, Imaging Sciences, Precision Medicine etc. and work on development and execution of joint image analyses projects, including novel imaging biomarker development.
  • Collaborate closely with external vendors, investigators and site personnel and Clinical operations teams to ensure the appropriate selection of Imaging equipment and parameters for image acquisition and pre- and on-study QC/calibration and standardization.
  • Oversee image analysis and interpretation of results and work closely with colleagues to oversee the development of study reports and publications as appropriate.
  • Support regulatory submission packages with the appropriate original content and documentation.

To be considered for this you will need a PhD with 8+ years of demonstrated ability in Ophthalmology Clinical Imaging. You should possess extensive familiarity with ocular imaging modalities such as OCT, FA, FP etc. We are seeking a strong understanding of ocular imaging file formats and analysis methods. We need demonstrated ability in the development and validation of ocular imaging biomarkers. Should also have experience in creating and managing imaging protocols, manuals, and charters, and be proficient in statistical analysis plans related to imaging endpoints.

Salary Range (annually): $145,400.00 - $237,200.00
