About the Team

Our Design Systems team is responsible for the standards, components, patterns, and tools used by our designers and engineers to build the best in-class user experience across DoorDash's three-sided marketplace (Consumer, Dasher, and Merchant). We elevate design craft and provide strategic innovation, making our product experiences intuitive, engaging, and joyful.

We're looking for a Senior Product Designer to lead the growth of our design system, creating reusable tokens, components, and patterns that enhance scalability, inclusivity, and performance. In addition to contributing to the core system, you will embed within product teams to develop team-specific patterns and contribute them back into the core system.

You will report into the Senior Manager of Design Systems in our Design org. This role is hybrid, 1-2 days a week onsite from one of our Design hubs and the rest working from home.

• Develop core components and tokens alongside engineering and product teams.
• Build scalable components for new product verticals (e.g., grocery, retail).
• Collaborate with system designers, product designers, engineers, and design leadership to grow our design system.
• Translate our product needs into systematic design solutions.
• Maintain design system artifacts including Figma libraries, documentation, and tooling.
• Champion accessibility and inclusive design.

• You bring 8+ years of experience in design systems, specializing in scalable component libraries and tokens.
• You are passionate about bridging design and engineering.
• You're experienced translating product needs into functional, reusable components.
• You have a track record of pixel-perfect, technically sound design.
• You have experience managing cross-functional stakeholders.
