ABOUT THIS ROLE

Apex Clearing is recognized for disrupting the financial services industry, enabling Fintech standouts like Stash, Robinhood, and Betterment. Our Product Managers stand at the leading edge of this disruption and are responsible for guiding new products at Apex.

This position will report to the Group Product Manager of Core Clearing and will have extensive cross-functional interaction. This Product Management role will focus on building out our Risk Management capabilities for Apex, including new systems and services. We're looking for someone who can assess market risks and optimize our systems to ensure a high degree of accuracy and uptime within this critical domain, as well as set and execute a strategic vision for our Risk domain.

What you'll do all day:

• Define the tools and features Apex needs to build.
• Become an expert: Know your product inside and out.
• Collaborate with your engineering team to drive projects to completion.
• Collaborate with the business and SMEs on technology strategy.
• Make us better. Explore new innovative technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Define and execute the strategy, vision, and roadmap for our risk management products.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and document comprehensive product requirements.
• Engage with internal stakeholders and clients to understand and address specific risk-related product needs.
• Utilize quantitative and qualitative business metrics to inform product strategy.
• Author and maintain key product documentation.
• Research and analyze industry trends in risk management technologies.
• Conduct competitive analysis to benchmark our products.
• Deliver insights and actionable recommendations tailored to stakeholders.
• Ensure the functional and financial success of risk management products.
• Requires occasional travel (15%+ time).

Skills You'll Need to Succeed:

• 5+ years of Product Management experience, preferably in risk management tools.
• Technical fluency to effectively communicate with engineering teams.
• Experience/background in financial markets.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field; Master's degree is a plus.
• Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical capabilities and comfort with BI tools.
• Experience defining and documenting market and product requirements.
• Solid track record managing the full lifecycle of product development.
• A deep understanding of Agile methodologies.
• Strong decision-making skills.
