What You'll Do
- Review and process project start up requests, additional service requests, and change orders
- Establish and maintain open communication about project finance with Project Managers and team
- Coordinate and attend monthly project billing review meetings
- Coordinate and attend monthly project financial health summary review meetings with new Project Managers
- Collaborate with Project Managers to process monthly project billing and record revenue recognition for larger and/or multi-faceted complex projects
- Provide special invoicing or additional documentation as needed (pay apps, lien waivers, client formatting, etc.)
- Investigate project variances or discrepancies and provide determinations or notations to the Senior Financial Reporting Analyst
- Provide special reporting as requested
- Set up billing terms in accordance with contract or proposal and build special rate tables as needed
- Support Project Managers with subconsultant invoice review, approval, and processing
- Monitor and facilitate pay-when-paid process
- Collaborate with clients, subconsultants, Project Managers, and Accounts Receivable Specialist to resolve billing issues in a timely manner and with a customer service approach
- Complete project closures and reconcile balances
- Upload contract related supporting documentation to Deltek
- Maintain organized project financial files
- Mentor and provide training to other Project Financial Analysts
- Perform monthly project QC
- Work with cross-functional finance teams in executing project work
- Remain subject matter expert on project financial concepts and processes
- Perform other duties as assigned
What You Bring
- BA in Accounting or related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years experience in project accounting in Architecture or Engineering
- Minimum 3 years experience with Deltek Vantagepoint
- Highly capable self-leadership with attention to detail and ability to prioritize responsibilities in a dynamic work environment
- Highly capable interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, expressing ideas effectively and professionally to all stakeholders
- Highly adaptable to frequent changes in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
- Able to coordinate with various stakeholders and understand project requirements, scope, and schedule
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others
- Advanced proficiency with Deltek Vantagepoint
- Advanced proficiency with Excel: pivot tables, formulas, data format/sort/filter, VLOOKUP
- Advanced proficiency with other MS Office platforms including, Word, Teams, Outlook, OneNote, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
- Advanced knowledge of project accounting principles, practices, and methods and their application to project finance related issues
- Advanced critical thinking and problem-solving skills required to apply learned subject matter and technical knowledge to reach sound conclusions
- Knowledge of GAAP as applied to project cost accounting
- Location: This is a hybrid position located in New York City.

- Hiring Base Salary Range: $76,800 - $102,700annual
- This position is eligible for time and a half overtime pay
The base salary is one component of PAE's competitive compensation package for employees. We take into consideration a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, internal equity and geographic location in determining exact salary offered.
