Tepa Companies is an equal-opportunity employer and encourages diversity in the workforce.LOCATION: Warner Robins, GAThis role is eligible to participate in Tepa's Hybrid Work Program, which allows remote work up to 2 days per week (i.e., work remotely up to 2 days per week; work in-office at least 3 days per week).ABOUT THE JOBThe Tepa Companies are seeking a Senior Project Manager to own and manage all aspects of projects to include client relationships, schedules, budgets, and profitability through comprehensive project completion. As the Senior Project Manager, you will collaborate with Superintendents, Quality Control Managers, and Site Safety Officers to ensure contractual requirements are met and exceeded. The Senior Project Manager works with and trains other Project Managers to ensure their wealth of knowledge is shared and utilized throughout all projects.Job Functions:
  • Ensure Tepa Core Values are being practiced by all Tepa staff
  • Creates a project schedule in P6 as required
  • Establishes a budget in Deltek within 14 days of award Bid review, drawing review and on-site construction management
  • Manages the project and its development from beginning to end
  • Facilitates the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables
  • Manages every aspect of the development process including consultants, subcontractors, vendors, specialty contractors, budgets, and internal departments
  • Manages each phase of the project including entitlement, design-build, permitting, bidding, contracting, construction, billing, and project close out
  • Plans, schedules, and manages project timelines to see all deadlines are met
  • Presents reports defining project progress, problems and solutions
  • Performs cost estimating
  • Performs quality control and assurance
  • Performs budget development, forecasting and management
  • Establishes site office and communications
  • Tracks RFIs
  • Evaluates superintendents and QCs
  • Conducts pre-qualification and procurement activities (buyout) of subcontractors
  • Ensure project requirements are being met for bonding and insurance per current Tepa standards
  • Initiates and works through Cure Process with Subcontractors/Vendors when required
  • Verifies Superintendent's 3-Week Look Ahead Schedule
  • Updates and maintains budget in Deltek and delivers reports as required
  • Performs cost and risk analysis and provides recommendations to management
  • Maintains open communication with field staff regarding all issues and work to resolutions
  • Communicates frequently all project, client, and staff concerns to General Manager
  • Trains Project Managers, Quality Control Managers, Superintendents, and Site Safety Officers as required to ensure project staff meet or exceed Tepa standards
  • Works with Proposal Management and Business Development staff to deliver complete proposals on time
  • Writes Technical Approaches and other proposal documents as required
  • Manages design process on Design Build projects
  • Works with General Manager and staff to ensure Tepa Employees are being treated fairly and their concerns are being addressed
  • Work with Human Resources/Recruiting group through hiring and disciplinary process as required
  • Has decision making authority at project level as designated by General Manager
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • Bachelor's degree in construction/engineering or similar
  • A minimum of five (5) years' experience specific to Corps of Engineers
  • 10+ years of construction project management experience in new and vertical construction, and the design-build construction process
  • Managed over $50M of construction/renovation work for federal clients
  • Managed at least 3 projects valued at over $15M each
  • Capability of running multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability and desire to build rapport with field staff, office staff, clientele, Tepa management staff, subcontractors
  • Proven experience establishing and maintaining effective project management control systems in compliance with contract requirements on USACE and other projects including field experience providing oversight on construction site work activities
  • Must be able to obtain base pass and pass a Federal background check
  • Ability to manage time efficiently
  • Must possess ability to communicate professionally both verbally and in writing
  • Good understanding of administrative and management principles involved in project planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources to assist in quality control management
