This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking, growth-oriented team and play a critical role in delivering cutting-edge Data Center facilities for top-tier clients.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager who will be responsible for managing all aspects of Data Center construction projects. From pre-construction planning to final delivery, this individual will take ownership of project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring that our Data Center builds meet the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and safety. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing complex Data Center builds, a strong understanding of mission-critical infrastructure, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams through the entirety of the construction process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Oversight: Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of Data Center construction projects, ensuring they are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Client Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders, including clients, internal teams, subcontractors, and consultants. Maintain regular updates and ensure clear communication of expectations, milestones, and any project-related issues.
  • Budget & Financial Management: Develop comprehensive budgets and manage project costs throughout the lifecycle. Monitor spending, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure financial targets are met while maintaining the integrity of the project scope.
  • Risk Management: Proactively identify potential risks (schedule delays, cost overruns, quality issues, etc.) and implement mitigation strategies to keep the project on track.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and support internal project teams, ensuring all members are aligned and working toward project goals. Manage subcontractors and vendors to ensure they meet performance standards and timelines.
  • Schedule Management: Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, coordinating activities and resources across all phases of the build. Ensure timely procurement of materials, equipment, and labor to meet deadlines.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all construction work adheres to industry standards, codes, and regulations, particularly in relation to mission-critical infrastructure, including electrical, HVAC, and security systems.
  • Safety & Compliance: Oversee compliance with safety standards and building codes, ensuring that all work is performed in a safe, compliant manner. Implement best practices to ensure a culture of safety on-site.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and vendors, to ensure project success and client satisfaction.
  • Post-Construction & Handover: Manage the transition of completed projects to the clients operational team, including overseeing commissioning and final inspections. Ensure all documentation is completed and that the facility is ready for operations.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5-10 years in construction project management, with at least 5 years of hands-on experience managing data center or mission-critical infrastructure projects.
  • Education: Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is highly preferred.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of the unique requirements for data center construction, including power distribution, cooling systems, fire suppression, physical security, and telecommunications infrastructure.
  • Leadership: Proven experience leading teams of diverse stakeholders, managing multiple complex projects simultaneously, and delivering results on time and within budget.
  • Skills: Exceptional project management skills, including the use of tools like MS Project, Procore, or similar. Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Certifications: OSHA 30-hour certification or similar safety certifications preferred. LEED or other sustainable building certifications are a plus.
