Job Summary: The Technical Service Team seeks a Senior Project Manager to support program development and execution, provide oversight of complex projects, act as a subject matter expert both with regard to certain commercial sectors as well as building energy efficiency, supervise and mentor Efficiency Planning and Engineering team member, and perform other tasks at the direction of the Team Lead. Job tasks include:
  • Development and execution of program solicitations and offerings
  • Management and/or mentorship of Efficiency Planning & Engineering staff
  • Managing projects from initiation to completion; including scope, schedule and budgets
  • Manage and develop relationships & increase coordination with key stakeholders
  • Manage contractors and program support agreements;
  • Resolve issues which may arise regarding assigned projects with applicants or consultants;
  • Support the development and refinement of PONs and RFPs;
  • Make recommendations for improvements to NYSERDA's strategies and business processes;
  • Support program reporting;
  • Other duties as assigned to support the key outcomes of the Efficiency Planning & Engineering Team
Required skills include:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, science or engineering
  • 10+ years of experience of relevant project management experience
  • Past experience with the New York State commercial and/or multifamily market
  • Past experience with energy efficiency program development and execution
  • Past experience with people management
  • Project management skills and the ability to successfully multi-task, set priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
  • Manage scope, schedule and budget of project agreements and other program support agreements;
  • Support strategic market engagement and partnership development;
  • Facilitate and execute continuous improvement of program rules, and business processes;
  • Excellent external and customer communications (written and verbal) skills;
  • Must be a self-starter and function well independently and in teams;
  • Must be a high level Microsoft Excel user, and be able to perform Pivot tables, advanced formulas, and advanced data analysis of complex data sets
Compensation: This is a full-time position as a Salas O'Brien employee working remotely. Benefits include a health insurance plan, a 401K profit sharing plan, and PTO. The position offers competitive compensation with an anticipated annual salary range of $100,000 to $115,000, based on candidate experience.
