Job Title: Senior Project Manager - Wastewater Treatment Plant Construction
Location: Florida (Statewide Projects - notable areas being Tampa Bay and Orlando)
Irving Knight Group are partnered with a multidisciplinary engineering and environmental consulting firm which allows them to offer integrated solutions, addressing the technical, regulatory, and operational needs of their clients. They are looking to add an experienced Senior Project Manager with water/wastewater experience to join their team and work on their upcoming innovative projects!
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate all technical aspects of water and wastewater civil infrastructure projects, from planning through construction. This includes providing engineering expertise for a range of project types, such as water distribution and transmission pipelines, sanitary sewer systems, treatment plants, and pump stations.
- Lead business development initiatives by directly engaging with clients, collaborating with marketing teams, preparing project proposals, and participating in client interviews.
- Manage project engineering tasks, including feasibility studies, conceptual and detailed design, preparation for bidding, and providing support during the construction phase.
- Handle project management duties, including negotiating and managing professional services contracts, overseeing project quality and financial performance, coordinating with subconsultants, and resolving budget or schedule issues as needed.
- Maintain clear and proactive communication with both clients and team members, ensuring their needs and expectations are met throughout the project.
- Work closely with interdisciplinary teams across the company, incorporating diverse technical expertise to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Utilize excellent written and verbal communication skills to help your team produce outstanding deliverables.
- Mentor, supervise, and support the development of junior technical staff to enhance their professional growth.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Masters degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- A minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in water/wastewater engineering.
- In-depth technical knowledge of water and wastewater infrastructure systems.
- Proven ability to provide top-tier client service and foster positive client relationships.
- Experience in business development and sales, with a track record of successful project acquisition.
- Valid drivers license with a good driving record.
