Position Overview:

You must have strong Yardi Voyager experience (3-5+ years, and be an active user in your current role), understand CAM concepts, and thrive in a fast-paced, growing environment.

Due to continued growth and acquisitions in the pipeline, we are seeking a Senior Property Accountant to join our dynamic accounting team. The ideal candidate is highly organized with a passion for numbers and a strong understanding of commercial property accounting principles. Responsibilities:

  • Day to day/full cycle accounting for a portfolio of industrial/commercial real estate properties.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements in accordance with GAAP for assigned properties including bank reconciliations, journal entries, reclasses, expense accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, and maintenance of supporting workpapers.
  • Monitor cash and ensure sufficient liquidity for properties.
  • Enter tenant receipts, monitor outstanding receivables and work with property managers to resolve any open balances.
  • Review and approve payables in Yardi/Procure to Pay workflow.
  • Review rent roll to ensure accuracy.
  • Prepare annual CAM, Tax, and Insurance reconciliations based on tenant leases.
  • Prepare and file monthly sales tax reporting.
  • Work with property managers to review variance explanations and monthly accruals.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets.
  • Dedication to continuously improve accounting processes.
  • Assist with special tasks and projects as requested.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting with 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • 3-5+ years of current hands-on experience with YARDI Voyager is a MUST.
  • Experience in commercial property accounting with solid understanding of recoveries and various lease types.
  • Advanced Excel and analytical skills.
  • Attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Get it done attitude and strong sense of ownership.
