Overview: An established European firm with a worldwide presence in the sustainable and renewable energy industry is seeking top talent. Energy production from renewable resources is the key component of the world's future energy mix. Renewable raw materials have the potential to permanently replace fossil fuels and simultaneously solve the problem of surplus agricultural production in North America and elsewhere. Our client is in the process of becoming a worldwide leader in 21st-century alternative green energy solutions. With our client's fuels cutting greenhouse gas emissions by up to 90% compared to fossil fuels, we are showing the way forward in climate protection. Role:
  • You will be instrumental in creating dashboards with company information regarding PnL, operations, and risk, While the functions (Middle Office, Operations, Logistics, Risk, etc.) will be responsible for improving their own reports and recreating them in dashboards with significantly expanded functionality, in this role you would help with automation, connectivity to systems, data transfers, etc.
  • You will contribute to automating data definition and storing such data in the 'market & internal data databases', including the Morningstar Reporting Solutions.
  • Work on the definition of requirements and purchase of a Market Risk System and possibly with the creation of an internal/bespoke supplemental risk system. Refine the requirements and purchase criteria of a Credit Risk System and other future systems as needed.
  • Continuously be challenged by unforeseen situations where you will contribute by creating new innovative solutions in a collaborative team environment. Qualifications:
    • Minimum a Bachelor's degree
    • Programming skills (Python, R, Excel (VBA, SQL, or C#)
    • Statistics & Time Series Analysis
    • Quantitative Finance experience
    • Basic understanding of the physical commodity market (preference for Ags, biofuels, renewable gas, ethanol, RINs, LCFS but not required)
    • Familiar with typical commercial structures for bilateral deals
    • Excellent communication skills; presentation to commercial professionals and management team
    • Self-starter, able to wear different hats, likes experimentation, takes the appropriate risk and explores technologies
