How this Role Will Be ImpactfulIn this role, you will be responsible for sourcing, attracting, and interviewing prospective team members for both hourly and salaried positions across our Operations/Production and Corporate teams. You will coordinate local hiring activities, including on- and off-site job fairs, and ensure a visible presence in the local community to attract candidates.
  • Remain closely aligned with HR Managers at each plant to understand production hiring needs.
  • Work under the direction of the Recruiting Manager to ensure alignment of all recruiting activities with company needs.
  • Conduct intake meetings with hiring managers to support current and future hiring needs.
  • Create and track open positions and candidates using Workday.
  • Use various recruiting strategies and resources, including job boards, social media, local job fairs, automation, and AI, to attract candidates with innovative spirits to our diverse culture.
  • Assess candidate information, including resumes and contact details.
  • Conduct initial screenings from both online and paper applications to determine the appropriate plant and shift for qualified candidates.
  • Coordinate interviews, extend offers, and prepare reports on trends and activities
  • Support the cultivation of relationships and contacts with public organizations, local employment organizations, universities, and technical schools to build a talent pipeline.
  • Effectively communicate our employer value proposition to candidates.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of full life cycle recruiting experience for a wide range of roles.
  • Demonstrated experience effectively partnering with hiring managers to support current and future hiring needs.
  • Strong multicultural competency and awareness demonstrated by building relationships that cross multiple dimensions of diversity such as race, ethnicity, religion, socioeconomic status, and others.
  • The ability to remain focused in ambiguous situations and frequently changing organizational structures.
  • Experience identifying and engaging passive candidates to help find the right people for our open positions.
  • Experience using social media to support recruitment efforts (LinkedIn, Facebook).
  • Understanding of applicable federal, state, and local laws to ensure compliance in our hiring activities.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
  • Experience maintaining a talent pipeline of qualified candidates.
  • Prior experience using an applicant tracking system to track recruiting metrics and identify trends.

  • Reliable transportation that allows you to work across our multiple facilities and offices within the City of Harrisonburg, VA.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience using Workday.
  • Experience recruiting for salaried roles in a manufacturing/production environment.
  • Experience in a high growth organization
  • Bi-lingual language proficiency in English and Spanish.
