Senior Sales Compensation ManagerDepartment: Revenue OperationsLocation: New York, NYOverviewAt our rapidly growing company, we are seeking an exceptional Senior Sales Compensation Manager to lead the design, implementation, and stewardship of our complex commission plans. This strategic role is pivotal in ensuring our compensation programs align with our overall business objectives, empower and motivate our sales teams, and accurately reflect the unique challenges and opportunities of our consumption-based business model.The ideal candidate will be a seasoned compensation professional with a deep understanding of best practices and a proven track record of success in leading the development and implementation of effective compensation plans. They will possess a strong analytical mindset, exceptional data analysis skills, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.We seek a dynamic and collaborative leader with a passion for driving sales success. The ideal candidate will be a team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Responsibilities
  • Develop and Execute a Comprehensive Sales Compensation Strategy.
  • Seek input from senior leaders on key elements of the sales compensation strategy, such as compensation philosophies, objectives, and targets.
  • Continuously monitor industry trends and best practices in sales compensation.
  • Administer commission statements on a monthly basis
  • Ensure compensation plans are competitive, equitable, and compliant with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Leverage compensation tools and technology to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
  • Partner with Sales Leaders to align the compensation program with the overall sales strategy and objectives.
  • Partner with Finance to model and forecast commission expenses.
  • Gather and analyze sales data, including monthly and quarterly sales figures, customer acquisition rates, and revenue trends.
  • Make Data-Driven Recommendations for Plan Modifications
  • Communicate Compensation Plans and Performance Data to Sales Teams and Stakeholders.
  • Partner closely with the Revenue Org to Establish and maintain regular communication channels with the Sales team to understand their needs, challenges, and priorities.Update sales commission plans as needed.
Qualifications
  • Extensive experience in sales compensation design and administration, with a proven track record in a consumption-based business model.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or CCP certification preferred.
  • Expert knowledge of sales compensation principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data.
  • Experience implementing and managing compensation tools (e.g., Varicent, CaptivateIQ, Xactly).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across functions.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, Salesforce, Adaptive, Intaact and other relevant software.
The anticipated salary range for this role is $150,000 - $155,000 plus variable commission / company bonus. Offered salary will be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, geo-location and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.Benefits & Perks for FTE Provers:
