Job Description :

The Senior Sales Planner, reporting to the Director of Sales Planning, will support the ecomm team to effectively forecast financials. The Senior Planner will perform ongoing analysis of product performance, actively identify risks and opportunities to maximize sales, gross margin as well as inventory productivity across all divisions.

It will be important for the Senior Planner to be flexible, open to change & proactively be able to implement new processes to pivot to business needs. Additionally, the key to success will be to establish collaborative relationships with internal and external sales, buying, planning & operations team to gain alignment on financials.

Role + Responsibilities
  • Establish a bottom-up sales and gross margin annual budget as well as a rolling 12 month forecast for the DTC and Amazon channels. Maintain a rolling 12 month sell-in forecast for the Amazon channel, ensuring adequate inventory is sellable to sufficiently fulfill and drive demand.
  • Communicate to the operations team the ecomm channel supply plan so they can place appropriate buys in a timely manner. Drive allocation conversations when SKUs are low on stock. Communicate big shifts in sales trends to the operations team, to ensure on order POs are slotted accordingly.
  • Monitor stock levels between all DTC warehouses to ensure healthy stock is maintained across all SKUs to avoid unnecessary out of stocks. Initiate transfers when needed, to balance inventory across warehouses.
  • Publish and distribute monthly internal reporting including, but not limited to: detailed actuals versus prior year, budget and forecast; sales to stock health, and top KPI performance by channel.
  • Monitor Amazon sales and inventory by SKU to efficiently drive the monthly stock transfer process. Ensure healthy stock levels, alleviating out of stocks and excess inventory. Partner closely with the operations team to ensure transfer timelines are adhered to.
  • Develop/update/enhance our tools/reporting and drive improvements to our internal forecasting and product planning processes to ultimately drive growth and assist in strategic decision making.
  • Monthly cross-functional reporting: Excess and Obsolescence, DTC discontinuations, New launch performance across all channels, Weekly sell-out for DTC and Amazon channels, Maintain accurate COGS by SKU.
Requirements
  • 5+ years minimum in a planning function.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, merchandising, planning, finance, or appropriate field of equivalent experience.
  • Strong technical aptitude, including advanced competency in Microsoft Excel, Computer proficiency in large data management, basic programming, and coding a plus.
  • Ability to query data from multiple systems and consolidate raw data into digestible and meaningful reporting.
  • Strong analytical, financial modeling and critical thinking skills; enthusiasm for all things data driven.
  • Ability to synthesize business performance into key highlights, root-cause analysis, and action plans.
  • Demonstrated success in collaborating, partnering, and influencing at all levels and across all functions of the organization.
  • Ability to manage multiple work streams/projects with tight timelines in a hyper-growth, dynamic environment.

We disclose the compensation range for positions in compliance with local law. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, skills and in comparison, to internal incumbents currently in similar roles. Pay Range: $87,500 - $96,250 salary per year. The range listed is just one component of Wella Company's total rewards package for employees. Other rewards may include an annual bonus plan or variable pay, depending on the role.
