We are seeking a Senior Salesforce Consultant with specialized knowledge and experience in application development, particularly with Salesforce, Force.com, object-oriented programming, and Client Server technologies. This is a full-time, hybrid, and 6–12 month contract opportunity.
Must be able to work onsite 3 days out of the week in Trenton office.
What You'll Do
Design and implement solutions in Salesforce and integration solutions between Salesforce and other external systems
Act as a liaison with different program offices, evaluate user requests, document functional and non-functional requirements, architect, develop, and deploy solutions to ensure systems meet desired specifications
Develop custom applications and perform hands-on technical implementation, with a focus on delivering functional solutions on the Salesforce.com platform
Create and manage complex workflow rules, data validation, and triggers
Develop and maintain Visualforce, AppExchange, Force.com pages, and integration with on-premise or third-party solutions
Collaborate with stakeholders to define business requirements and translate them into technical specifications
Maintain and enhance existing custom solutions and integrate with other systems as needed
Conduct unit testing and participate in code reviews to ensure quality and performance of the developed solutions
Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, and other team members to ensure successful project delivery
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to custom applications and integrations
Stay current with Salesforce releases, new features, and best practices
Participate in the full application lifecycle from technical design to development, testing, and deployment
Develop and maintain technical documentation for solutions and processes
Ensure data security and integrity by implementing best practices and following organizational standards
Provide user training and support as needed to ensure successful adoption of new solutions
What You'll Need
Required:
Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university in a related technical field
7+ years of experience in application development activities including requirement gathering, analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation with emphasis on Salesforce, Force.com, object-oriented programming, and Client Server technologies
7 years of experience in the Salesforce declarative environment
7 years of hands-on Salesforce configuration experience
Salesforce Developer or Admin track certifications
5 years of experience documenting application specifications and solutions to satisfy project requirements
7 years of experience identifying and evaluating vendor/partner software and integration strategies
7 years of experience developing and coding solutions to specification
5 years of experience identifying and implementing appropriate testing strategies
7 years of experience executing all steps required to deploy/implement the application solution
5 years of experience participating in a self-directed team environment, collaborating with project team members and QA on development, customer issues, and security requirements
7 years of experience with Salesforce Web Services APIs (Force.com SOAP and REST-based Web Service APIs, the Bulk API, and the Metadata API)
5 years of Agile development experience
5 years of experience in Java, J2EE, Struts, JSP, JavaScript
5 years of experience creating dashboards and reports in Salesforce
5 years of experience retrieving data from Oracle Databases
Desired:
5 years of experience creating reports in Tableau
5 years of experience in Public Sector Foundation
Ability to communicate ideas, concepts, and strategies to both technical and non-technical people
Ability to think outside of the box and design innovative solutions
Ability to define the system landscape, identify gaps between current and desired end-states, and deliver a solution (at least 7 years of experience)
Ability to lead design sessions and communicate design options to clients (5 years)
Physical Demands:
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
Sedentary work involving sitting or remaining stationary most of the time, with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
