We are seeking a Senior Scheduler to join our Project Controls team in Denver, CO This position involves working with both internal and external clients and is based in the Denver, CO metro area. The role will also support other offices, though minimal travel is expected. The Senior Scheduler will review the Contractor's schedule with the client's interests in mind, ensuring compliance with specifications and industry best practices. Responsibilities include:
  • Reviewing and commenting on the Contractor's Baseline Schedule, Monthly Progress Updates, and change order fragments.
  • Providing quantitative analyses related to potential claims.
  • Potentially including capital cost estimating related to project change orders and performing risk assessments, depending on client needs and the candidate's skills.

How will you contribute to the team?
  • Supports Project Management staff, the project team, and stakeholders in managing schedules to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Coordinates with the project team to evaluate and verify the actual progress of the project schedule over time.
  • Determines reasonable schedule logic, durations, and constraints based on discussions with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
  • Evaluates and quantifies the Contractor's assumed productivity and resource requirements by reviewing their proposed schedule.
  • Identifies and assesses critical and near-critical path activities.
  • Creates schedule reports and indicators in accordance with contract requirements.
  • Identifies major milestones, critical approvals, and long-lead procurement items, ensuring their interdependencies are accurately reflected in the schedule.
  • Assesses actual progress through site inspections.
  • Identifies schedule changes and trends over various time periods.
  • Monitors and reports on schedule deliverables.
  • Conducts schedule review meetings with project stakeholders.
  • Communicates and presents schedule status to multiple stakeholders.
  • Suggests corrective actions and develops recovery plans when delays are anticipated or occur.
  • Selects a forensic schedule analysis approach to evaluate schedule delays, following AACE guidance and recommendations.
  • Provides lessons learned throughout the project.
What will you contribute?
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, and/or equivalent experience.
  • At least seven years of experience with Primavera P6.
  • Experience with large capital construction projects.
  • Familiarity with various contract delivery methods, including design-bid-build, design/build, and CMGC.
  • Ability to understand float and tie scope.
  • Preferred background in hi-tech manufacturing or pharmaceuticals; electrical systems experience is also preferred.
  • Preferred experience with heavy civil projects, including highways, transit, airports, utilities, and/or water infrastructure.
  • - Highly articulate with a clear and analytical approach to problem-solving and strong decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to negotiate with contractors in situations with differing or contentious viewpoints.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in using Information Technology, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proficient in Primavera scheduling products (P6) and Microsoft Project report preparation.
  • Competent in Microsoft Project schedule products.
  • PSP Certification is preferred.
  • Certification or membership with AACE, PMI, or CMAA is preferred.
