Join Us in Revolutionizing Women's Ovarian Health as a Program Development Lead

We are seeking an exceptional and experienced Senior Scientist to spearhead innovative research programs at Gameto. This is a unique opportunity to take a leadership role in the development of novel cell therapies for menopause, working at the intersection of cell biology, biotechnology, and women's health.

The ideal candidate will have advanced expertise in stem cell biology, including pluripotent stem cell differentiation, single-cell RNA-sequencing, molecular cloning, and cell engineering, with additional experience in biomaterials design, extracellular matrix engineering, and alginate encapsulation. Knowledge of cell therapy development, rodent implantation models, ovarian biology, proteomics, or secretomics assays is also preferred.

If you are a visionary scientist with a passion for advancing women's health, this role offers a platform to lead research, mentor teams, and contribute to transformative scientific breakthroughs. As a program lead, you will oversee and guide the direction of key projects, with opportunities for further advancement.

About the Role

As a Senior Scientist, you will take ownership of research projects developing innovative cell therapies for menopause health solutions. This role involves both hands-on research and strategic oversight, ensuring that your program stays at the cutting edge of biotechnology. You will lead a multidisciplinary team and collaborate across departments to advance the science of cell therapy and biomaterials-based approaches.

The position requires deep expertise in stem cell biology and molecular techniques combined with biomaterials science to develop innovative solutions for encapsulation, extracellular matrix design, and functional tissue engineering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead research programs focused on cell therapy development, incorporating stem cell differentiation, molecular cloning, and extracellular matrix engineering.
  • Design, implement, and analyze advanced experiments utilizing single-cell RNA-sequencing, proteomics, and secretomics assays to optimize therapeutic outcomes.
  • Develop and optimize biomaterials-based approaches for alginate encapsulation and tissue engineering, focusing on ovarian biology and hormone production.
  • Oversee mouse or rat implantation models to evaluate therapeutic efficacy and ensure translational relevance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align research strategies with clinical and commercial goals.
  • Mentor and guide junior scientists and research staff, fostering a collaborative and innovative research environment.
  • Identify and integrate emerging technologies and scientific trends to drive program innovation.
  • Prepare and present reports and findings to internal leadership, external collaborators, and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with research standards and laboratory best practices, with an emphasis on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in cell biology, molecular biology, biomedical engineering, or a related field is required.
  • Post-doctoral experience or 3+ years of industry experience in a relevant field.
  • Expertise in stem cell differentiation, molecular cloning, and cell engineering is essential.
  • Experience with single-cell RNA-sequencing and biomaterials design, including extracellular matrix engineering and alginate encapsulation, is highly preferred.
  • Preferred experience with cell therapy development, rodent implantation models, ovarian biology, proteomics, and secretomics assays.
  • Demonstrated success in leading research programs and mentoring junior scientists.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines efficiently.
  • Outstanding communication skills, with experience preparing and presenting scientific reports.
  • A collaborative, problem-solving mindset, with the ability to work effectively in fast-paced, interdisciplinary settings.
  • Passion for advancing women's health through innovative science.
