Squarespace is looking for a backend Senior Software Engineer on the User and Identity Platform team within the Foundations Platform Engineering group. This team is responsible for developing and securing Squarespace's main authentication, authorization, OAuth, and external integrations.By joining us, you'll be at the forefront of designing secure systems, making a significant impact on the safety and integrity of our platform. This is a hybrid role based out of our NY headquarters.As a Senior Software Engineer on Identity and User Platform, you will:Develop features for the authentication, authorization, and account services at SquarespaceWork with engineering teams across the company to enhance our identity platforms and ensure the successful adoption of best practicesImprove the developer experience for other engineers by platformizing Identity componentsWrite testable, readable, and maintainable codeParticipate in platform-level architecture discussions and decisionsMentor fellow teammates on design patterns and best practicesThis role is a good fit for you if you:Have 4+ years of experience developing scalable microservices-based systems using modern Java/JVM technologiesUnderstand database schema design, caching, and scalability for Relational and NoSQL databases.
