Senior Software Engineer - Elite Macro Hedge Fund - NYC - Up to $300k TC

About the Company

One of our top performing Hedge Fund clients has recently expanded into a new suite of products and after a busy period and solid performance, they need to expand their Middle Office technology team. The team sits away from the larger fund, trading independently but with the security and support of the wider business. The calibre of the team is exceptional, hiring engineers and investment professionals from both the top hedge funds and fintech firms globally.

About the Role

This role will have an entrepreneurial feel, building systems from the ground up across the post trade area of the business. Working collaboratively with the wider tech team in London, they are looking for a strong Python coder with a background ideally from a Fixed Income environment.

Responsibilities

• Building end to end post trade systems, including Risk Management, OMS/EMS implementation, PnL attribution, Trade Capture/Reconciliation and Treasury systems.
• Working collaboratively with the wider tech team to build out the technology stack.
• Build custom interfaces with OMS and EMS systems to integrate with any external platforms.

Required Skills

• Excellent Python skills (if you have some exposure to C#, even better)
• End to end systems development knowledge and strong testing skills.
• Entrepreneurial attitude, happy to jump in and help on other teams/projects to add value.
